Baobab Game Ranch
derives its name from the great, majestic, 2000 year
old Baobab
Tree which is found on the ranch. It there fore is
only fitting to name the Ranch in its honor.
The Baobab Game Ranch is 6000 hectare large. It houses a biotope
which varies from Tambuti Tree forest to open
savanna. Game species found on Baobab Game Ranch are
Greater Kudu, Oryx, Eland, Zebra,
Hardebeest, Blesbok, Warthog, Steenbok, Duiker,
Damara Dik-Dik, and the Jackal.
Further more we offer another 6000 hectare hunting area on
a nearby farm, Driehoek.
Your host, Helmuth and Margaret Friederich, born Namibian, whose
families have been here since 1903. Helmuth grew up
in the area where the bushmen are at home, he
consequently speaks the Hai//om (San) language
fluently and understands the San culture.
Bushmen are known for their excellent tracking
skills and fine craftsmanship.
We offer comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms each with its own
bathroom. Washing service is
available daily on
request. Enjoy first class home cooked meals.
